Get to know Salvador

Salvador, Bahia, Brazil

Modern historical city, patrimony of humanity, listed by UNESCO. First capital of Brazil, from 1549 to 1822. To this day the capital of Bahia. Main city of the Americas until 1800.

Largest city with a black population outside of Africa. Largest coastal city in Brazil, bathed by the calm waters of the Bay of All Saints on one side and bathed by the Atlantic Ocean on the other. Headquarters of Brazil. Cradle of Afro-Brazilian culture. Father of samba and capoeira. Matriarch of candomblé. The largest street carnival in the world.

City with its own gastronomy, acarajés, abarás, moquecas, finally ... city in love with football, music, dance ...
